The Degler Family
Jonathan and Amanda knew since their teen years that they were called to share the gospel on the mission field. After serving on a number of short-term missions teams, serving in their local church, and completing their degrees. The Deglers knew they were ready to serve as missionaries and felt a call to Thailand.
Right after graduating, the Deglers moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand to work as missionaries for ZOE International. For four years, they worked at ZOE teaching, counseling, and caring for orphans and victims of child trafficking. During this time, the Deglers saw their family grow in 2014 through the adoption of their daughter, Olive, and in 2016 with the birth of their son, Desmond.
After finishing their term with ZOE, the Deglers felt led to start up HighRise Ministries and pioneer a ministry in Bangkok, Thailand. They served in Bangkok for two years doing campus ministry, counseling refugees, and leadership training and coaching.
After spending some time on sabbatical, the Degler family felt it was time for them to return to Chiang Mai. This has been a great decision for their family and ministry. Read more about their current ministry here.
